Flau'jae Johnson nears conclusion of four-year LSU career amid college basketball's transfer trends

Flau'jae Johnson, a guard for the LSU Tigers women's basketball team in the Southeastern Conference, has remained with the program since committing in November 2021 and enrolling in 2022.[1][2] Entering her senior season in 2025-26, Johnson stands out for her loyalty in an era marked by frequent transfers and name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities.[1]

Johnson's connection to LSU runs deep; she buried her pet bearded dragon, named Four after her jersey number, on the Baton Rouge campus following its death.[3] She has referenced bringing her other bearded dragon, Champ, to team practices, drawing comparisons to teammates who bring dogs.[3]
