The Masters Champions Dinner is a private annual event held on the Tuesday evening before the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. It is hosted by the previous year's winner exclusively for past champions.[1][2]
Started by Ben Hogan prior to the 1952 Masters, the tradition allows the defending champion to personally select the menu, often featuring dishes inspired by their nationality, childhood favorites or notable experiences.[1][2]
For the 2025 dinner ahead of the April 10-13 tournament, 2024 champion Scottie Scheffler curated an American-themed menu. Appetizers included Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and smash burgers. Mains were beef tenderloin and grilled salmon with lemon herb sauce, accompanied by sides such as creamed spinach and roasted fingerling potatoes. Dessert was banana pudding.[3][4]
Scheffler's selections nodded to his Texas roots and time at the University of Texas, as well as favorites from Louisville, Kentucky, where he resides.[3]
Augusta National maintains an extensive wine cellar, from which champions select pairings for the dinner.[1]
The 2025 Masters concluded with Scheffler's runner-up finish, meaning the 2026 dinner host will be determined by that year's winner.[5]
